Chapter 8: The Difference between Spirit and Soul
1. Explain the difference between a “good Christian” and a “spiritual Christian.” (Hint: pp. 77-79, “The Impotence of the Soul in Spiritual Things”)
2. Referencing the three parts, or organs, of the soul, give some examples of how the soul can be a difficulty and hindrance of the saints in spiritual things.
3. What is it to live an abnormal Christian life and why is it abnormal?
4. How can man be delivered from the soul and become a spiritual man? (Hint: p. 83, “Although spiritual persons also have souls…” and p. 86, “How can be be delivered from the soul?…”)
