My Experience in the Local Churches

I want to share a little about myself and my experience in the local churches. I am a middle school teacher by profession, teaching language arts, world history, and poetry to 6th graders. I have been in the Lord’s recovery for the past twenty-two years, since I was a freshman in college in July, 1977. During the past twenty-two years, I have been encouraged by the ministries of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee to further my education so I can be a proper vessel to know the word of God, understand the deeper truths of the Christian life, and receive the essence of God’s economy.

While daily enjoying the Lord’s word morning by morning, attending small group and bread breaking meetings week by week, and mining the biblical truths with the help of the ministries of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, I have earned an B.A. degree in Speech Communication, a J.D. degree in Law, and a M.S. degree in Educational Administration. If the Lord is willing, I will be enrolled in an Ed.D. program in Educational Leadership in the fall of 1999.

In the two decades of experience with four local churches—in Berkeley, in San Francisco, in San Bernadino, and in Anaheim—I have learned what it means to live a normal Christian life. I have learned the importance of applying daily the Lord’s judicial redemption and enjoying continuously the Lord’s organic salvation. I have enjoyed the encouragement of being in a small group, of being a faithful and loving husband to my wife, of being a proper father to my daughter, of being a caring and patient teacher to my students, and of being an informed voting American citizen. I just want to thank the Lord continuously for giving me the privilege to be in the local churches.
