Fellowship Concerning the Urgent Need of the Vital Groups Chapter 2 continues the fellowship from Chapter 1 on the practice of the group meetings in the God-ordained way. Two kinds of meetings, the group meetings in the homes and the meetings in which the whole church comes together in one place, are like two wings of an airplane. However, the group meetings are more basic and without which it is difficult to have the increase of the church. Our desperate need today is to practice the new group meetings in the new way. After praying in seeking the Lord’s leading to form our group, we need to pray much concerning whom we should visit for the gospel.
Chapter 3 presents practical fellowship concerning the practice of the vital groups. It presents a view of history concerning the group meetings from the beginning of the New Testament through the history of the meeting life in mainland China and the practice of the group meetings in Taiwan from 1949 to 1954. We must realize that our destiny depends upon how to have group meetings. In our practice of the group meetings, we need the steps of intimate fellowship, prayer, and visiting others. There is the also the need for shepherding and teaching in the group meetings.

In my ministry regarding this matter I said that we can forget the heavens and the earth, but we must not forsake the group meetings. I also told all the churches that the church life depends eighty percent upon the group meetings.”
