Announcements — Week of June 26, 2022

Prayer Meeting
The church prayer meeting on Tuesday, June 28, will be held in the small groups.

Church Meeting on July 3
The in-person church meetings by district originally planned for July 3 have been postponed until after the semiannual training. All meetings on July 3 will be held on Zoom in the small groups. This decision was made after careful consideration in order to reduce the overall risk for Covid-19 exposure among saints who will attend the live semiannual training on July 4-9.

Church Meetings by Language on July 10
On July 10 the church will meet by language at 9:30 a.m., with the English-speaking saints meeting at District 1, the Chinese-speaking saints at District 2, the Korean-speaking saints at District 3, and the Spanish-speaking saints at District 4. (The meeting places for the Korean-speaking saints and the Spanish-speaking saints were changed permanently from last week’s announcements.) Information for those who wish to participate online can be found in the small group announcements.

Background Checks for Serving Ones
As we look toward restarting in-person children’s and young people’s meetings, all saints who desire to serve, including those who have previously served, are required by state law to submit a new application and request a background check through ProtectMyMinistry.org. Links to the background check request and application can be found at yp.churchinanaheim.org and children.churchinanaheim.org.

Final Wednesday Night Ministry Meeting
The final Wednesday night ministry meeting for the current semester of the FTTA will take place on June 29. The meeting is broadcast at 7:25 p.m. in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, and Korean. The outlines are posted on the same site. Please do not attempt to attend the live meetings in person.

Statement from the Elders Regarding COVID-19 Protective Restrictions
Resumption of in-person meetings on the Lord’s Day began on April 10 and will progress in a gradual way. The elders will continue to consider the developing situation related to the pandemic and will proceed with the safety of the saints in view.

2022 Church in Anaheim Event Calendar
The 2022 church in Anaheim event calendar as of May 1 can be downloaded on the home page at churchinanaheim.org. The calendar will be updated from time to time as dates and venues are confirmed.

Serving at the Bibles for America Distribution Center
The BfA Distribution Center (DC) has moved to the LSM campus. Those who are burdened and would like to be a candidate to serve as a volunteer at the DC can apply at bfa.org/dc-volunteer. A short video on the BfA operation at the DC is provided at youtube.com/watch?v=KPy1e-5ozWI. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve in spreading God’s interpreted Word to the hungry and seeking ones.

English-speaking Sisters’ Prayer Times
Each week sisters’ prayer times are held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Please see the small group announcements for the Zoom ID.
