Announcements — Week of August 14, 2022

Prayer Meeting
The church prayer meeting on Tuesday, August 16, will be held in the small groups.

District Meetings on August 21
On Lord’s Day, August 21, the church in Anaheim will meet in person by district. Each district, including all the saints of all languages, will meet in the respective meeting places. An option to meet on Zoom will be available. The saints who meet on Zoom will NOT meet by district but will meet by language. Zoom meeting information can be found in the small group announcements. Until the children’s meeting service is fully restored, all children who attend the in-person meetings should be accompanied by one of the parents.

Precautions for In-person Meetings
Those who have any symptoms of a respiratory or other contagious illness, and those who have been in recent contact with someone who has such symptoms, should not attend the in-person meetings but should continue to meet on Zoom. Currently, a high percentage of the counties in California, including Orange County, are in the “high” COVID-19 level. Consistent with current CDC guidelines, we strongly recommend that those who attend the in-person meetings wear a mask while they are indoors. This is for the protection of all the saints.

New LSM Ministry Books Website
Living Stream Ministry has recently updated its Ministry Books website. The functionality of this website has been greatly increased. On the new site a limited number of publications can be read for free, including all the Life-studies. Access to The Collected Works of Watchman Nee, The Collected Works Witness Lee, and The Conclusion of the New Testament is available through a monthly or yearly subscription. Visit ministrybooks.org for more details.

Children’s & Young People’s Meeting — Registration
As we look toward restarting in-person children’s and young people’s meetings, all saints who desire to serve, including those who have previously served, are required by state law to submit a new application and request a background check. Also, all parents need to register their children to participate in the children’s meetings in their respective district by filling out a form for each family. Links to the church’s policy, application forms, registration form, and background check can be found at www.churchinanaheim.org/cyp.

Southern California Labor Day Weekend Conference
A conference will be held for the saints and the churches in Southern California on the upcoming Labor Day weekend, beginning on Friday evening, September 2, and concluding on Lord’s Day morning, September 4. There will be four meetings. The general subject will be “The Lord’s Coming.” Translation will be provided into Chinese, Korean, Spanish and Vietnamese. To protect the health of the saints, the present plan is to hold the conference completely online. Additional details will be provided soon.

Young People Ministry Reading
For the next few weeks the young people will read a ministry book, Basic Elements of the Christian Life, vol. 2, by enjoying one chapter per week. The reading portion for this coming week will be Chapter 1, “A Time with the Lord.” The full reading schedule can be found at yp.churchinanaheim.org/biblereading.

Conference for the Working Saints
The church has reserved space at Oak Glen on September 30—October 2 for a conference of the working saints. Please reserve those dates on your calendar. Further details regarding registration and cost will be provided in the coming weeks.

Statement from the Elders Regarding COVID-19 Protective Restrictions
Resumption of in-person meetings on the Lord’s Day began on April 10 and will progress in a gradual way. The elders will continue to consider the developing situation related to the pandemic and will proceed with the safety of the saints in view.

Serving at the Bibles for America Distribution Center
The BfA Distribution Center (DC) has moved to the LSM campus. Those who are burdened and would like to be a candidate to serve as a volunteer at the DC can apply at bfa.org/dc-volunteer. A short video on the BfA operation at the DC is provided at youtube.com/watch?v=KPy1e-5ozWI.
